CCEG engaged HJ & Associates of Salt Lake City, UT, an independent public accounting firm registered with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), on February 20, 2014, to conduct an audit of the Company’s financial records for the years ending December 31, 2012 and December 31, 2013, the Company’s two most recently ended fiscal years. At such time as our audit is completed the Company will file its audited financial statements for these years in the applicable periodic report required by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Thereafter, the Company will file its ongoing periodic reporting on continuing basis. This will nearly complete extensive turn-around operations which followed the first quarter 2010 take-over, election of the new board of directors and installation of its management team.
Because previous management did not complete an audit of the Company’s financial statements after October 31, 2007, the completion and filing of the periodic reports with HJ’s audit report for the years ending December 31, 2012 and December 31, 2013 will provide all required uniformity for the Company’s reporting history and serve as a basis for future filings, so that the Company achieves its immediate goal of providing shareholders and prospective investors with current financial and other information as it proceeds toward re-establishment of quotation for its common stock on the OTCBB.
Comments Timothy S. Shear, President and CEO, “The talents of HJ, an affiliate of the McGladrey Alliance’s nationwide network of CPAs are particularly well suited to our business, as they provide specific capability within the oil and gas industry, along with an appropriate focus upon smaller enterprises. This intensive endeavor has been necessarily extensive and costly in order to resume reporting status, so that meaningful information is available to the over-the-counter securities markets regarding the company’s business operations, thereby fully returning to the firm’s exciting E&P opportunities within the domestic oil and gas arena.”
